Maria Menounos recovering from brain tumour surgery

Maria Menounos is recovering after undergoing surgery to remove a tumour from her brain.

The TV personality announced her mum Litsa was fighting brain cancer last August (16) and in a new in-depth interview with People magazine Maria has revealed that she has had her own health battle.
Explaining the worrying symptoms began in February (17), the brunette beauty told the publication, “I’d been getting lightheaded on set and having headaches. My speech had gotten slurred and I was having difficulty reading the teleprompter.”

Why poor electricity is still a problem in Nigeria – Power Minister, Fashola

The Minister of Power; Works and Housing, Raji Fashola, has blamed inadequate electricity supply to consumers on lack of sufficient financial investments in the power sector. He stated this at the weekend during a chat with the media in Abuja. According to Fashola, although the country has expended what may appear sizeable, the money so far spent was inadequate to address the current challenges. He also noted that in spite of the already installed 12,000MW power capacity, the country is only enjoying about 6,000MW because of sabotage resulting from broken gas pipelines, poor planning of gas supply and evacuation.
